Can I prevent Breast cancer?

Like many cancers, diet and lifestyle can play a part. However, the most important thing is to be breast aware and have your breast cancer screening.

What should I look out for?

A lump, changes in size or shape of the breast, breast pain, nipple discharge, skin dimpling.

What is breast screening?

Breast screening also known as a mammogram is getting your breast screened by an x-ray. It takes no longer than five minutes to have the x-ray. Almost one third of breast cancers are picked up through the breast screening.

Nine out of ten breast lumps are harmless, but everyone should be checked by a doctor. Finding cancer early means smpler treatment and better chance of recovery.
